Into the Presidentials
[This post is based on my trail journal for the day in question. Parts may be redacted or expanded as memory and whim dictate]
The Webster-Jackson trail was poorly marked, causing about 30 minutes of trail-searching waste in an open forest. Off of Jackson I saw more of the “gray jays” from A-Z. I really love them. Stopped by the Mizpah hut and refitted before heading off to find a place to camp. It’s cold and raining steady up here (~3800′).
Hiked: 5.5mi, 2300′ up, 700′ down
Peaks: Webster (3910), Jackson (4052)
Favorite Pic: Panorama off of Jackson. Direction uncertain but believed to be east.
