Brutal-specific Configurations

Brutal allows for the abstraction of security scanning, providing a consistent API for both the command-line Brutal client, as well as any application that uses the Medusa::Brutal Perl library such as CGI's (e.g. RAPP), GTK GUI's, or custom drivers.

One of the features that makes Brutal such a valuable component above the general security scanner layer, is it's configurability and scalability. Not only does Brutal allow the use of multiple security scanners for increased reliability and diversity, but Brutal can also optimize itself for use on Single-Server-Image clusters (e.g. OpenMOSIX), SMP systems, and supports a unique "Brutal server cluster" system. The "Brutal server cluster" is any number of systems that have the security scanner(s) installed on them. Any brutal client can use any subset of those systems.
